Future Master Bath

Hopefully by the end of Spring Break this area will begin to look like a bathroom addition. Right now we are using it to store all of the old wood (and trash) since it's covered. The door to the right leads into the bedroom. The cut out section of wall is where JB had to let in some light so he could see to demo the old bathroom, so we could expand the kitchen.

View from Above

Here I am at the top of my Dad's ladder taking a shot of our brand new subfloor. After ripping out the old floors and joists, we dug for new footings, installed some beams, put in brand new joists, and laid the subfloor. It took a while, but we now have a floor to stand on in the living room and bedroom!

The Fire Pit

This is the view from our backyard. We created a fire pit from the stones that the house was actually resting on, until JB reworked the foundation. This required digging about fifteen holes, setting rebar in each one, and then mixing and pouring about 60 bags of concrete. Next we laid the blocks and beam. Now we have a solid and level foundation underneath the three main rooms.
